Since its establishment back in March 25 2014, Mission has been serving Mexican inspired dishes with an American flair to hungry patrons in Georgetown. This restaurant provides daily happy hour specials and a large patio for outdoor dining to its guests. Mission has recently renovated its large patio for patrons to dine outdoors as the weather sees fit. Operated by Reed Landry and Fritz Brogan, Mission is the home to the most savored tacos in DC. Formerly a bottle-service spot, Mission has evolved to a thriving restaurant, thanks to Chef Rodrigo Albarran. While his tacos became a one-hit wonder among enthusiasts, his menu goes beyond to include cactus sopes, queso fundido, with sausage, hominy-and-pork pozole, and the chef’s exclusive burger.
Tequilla is the primary focus at Mission, however. The main bar at the restaurant features an atrium skylight and over 50 types of tequila. The bar stools seat at least two dozen people with power outlets at every stool. There are also frozen margaritas in a variety of flavors. The strawberry flavored margarita is a favorite, called the Sparkling Strawberry Champarita. Other mixed drinks are available as well. On weekends, the bar is converted into a night dance party with a DJ to liven up the event.
Mission started off as a drinking spot which successfully kicked off. As it grew in popularity, Mission expanded to include a dining area for its layout.
